Tracey Triumphs in Darwin to Close Out 2026 Trans Am Cup Series

The 2026 Trans Am Cup Series came to a thrilling conclusion at Hidden Valley Raceway over the weekend, with Blake Tracey securing overall honours during the betr Darwin Triple Crown.

Competing in front of a passionate Northern Territory crowd, the Trans Am field delivered another action-packed weekend of racing, featuring intense wheel-to-wheel battles, close qualifying margins, and dramatic late-race moments.

Tracey emerged as the standout performer across the weekend, claiming victory in both Race 2 and the all-important finale. However, the final race was far from straightforward, with a late-race scare forcing the championship contender to withstand significant pressure in the closing laps.

Nathan Herne pushed hard right to the chequered flag, finishing just 0.365 seconds behind Tracey after an enthralling battle. James Moffat completed the podium, crossing the line only one second adrift of the race winner in what proved to be one of the closest finishes of the season.

The Trans Am Cup Series now heads west for Round 3 of the championship at the Perth Super440, taking place at Wanneroo Raceway from 31 July to 2 August 2026.

Following an action-packed weekend in Darwin, teams and drivers will be looking to carry their momentum into Perth as the battle for championship honours continues.
