Shannons Rally Heartland

Welcome to the 2026 Shannons Rally Heartland. This year the event is under new direction, but with familiar faces and roads, as we again return to the stunning heartland region of Burra and surrounds that we have enjoyed since 2017.

The event will be the first round of the 2026 South Australian Rally Championship, South Australian Regularity Series, South Australian Clubman Series, and Round 3 of the East Coast Classic Rally Series.

The event will kick off on Thursday with documentation, scrutiny, and a physical drivers’ briefing. On Friday morning, our competing crews will be flagged off by local dignitaries over the start ramp at Paxton Square. Friday will be a long day, with competitive special stages running into the night. Saturday begins with an afternoon start following Anzac Day ceremonies and local community breakfast. The Event will conclude on Sunday with a post-event dinner following on from podium celebrations.

Without the support of the local community and the hundreds of officials that make the trek to Burra to help run our stages, such a fabulous event could not possibly take place.
